I had a great time on this writer’s retreat. Learned loads in the company of a great group of aspiring writers. Jonas and Rania were excellent and knowledgable hosts, and the staff at the John and George hotel were super friendly. Excursions were superb, from ouzo tasting to learning how olive oil is produced to visiting an impressive fortress and more. Especially suitable for novice writers eager to learn what the market needs right now.

As the co-leader of this retreat, I so appreciate all the support, guidance, and information we got from Imagine Greece Retreats. They made everything so easy--and enjoyable. The pre-retreat Athens tour was incredible. Lakki Village was everything we wanted--beautiful surroundings, community-style spaces, delicious food, and friendly staff. It was wonderful to go to sleep to the sounds of the waves of the Aegean Sea, wake up to a bountiful buffet, and spend the day immersed in our retreat and explorations. I would highly recommend a partnership with Imagine Greece Retreats to other retreat leaders.

I had a wonderful time on this retreat! Jonas and Rania planned a beautiful week for everyone. The week was full of learning, sightseeing and spending time swimming, writing and having conversations about creativity. It was food for the soul. I learnt so much from Jonas during the lectures. Jonas is so generous with his time, he’s genuine in wanting to support writers. I made many meaningful connections with the people on the retreat. It was the trip of a lifetime and I cannot recommend it more!

I’ve never taken a vacation that propelled me toward a lifelong dream — or one that handed me the tools and hard-earned knowledge gathered over the years by these wildly successful authors. In the past, I might’ve come home with a sunburn and a hangover, but never with encouragement, inspiration, and such determination to get that first draft on the page. If writing, word-count, reading or yoga retreats sound interesting - I highly encourage you to go with Imagine Greece Retreats and have a vacation that may well change your life.

This was one of the best trips I’ve taken. All of the people were so open and easy to talk to. It was incredible to be able to connect with people with the same interests and passions. The excursions were so amazing and thoughtful. It was clear they wanted to balance out sight-seeing/ holiday with the productive workshop so that we enjoy both. The location was extremely relaxing and I didn’t feel overwhelmed with tourists. It was clear that Jonas and Rania have a passion for literature. They were so overwhelmingly eager to help everyone succeed. I left feeling so inspired to work on my novel with the guidance and insider knowledge I never would have had otherwise. The trip far exceeded my expectations at every turn and I can’t wait for the next one!

I attended the Retreat, hosted by Jonas and Rania in October 2024 as part of my solo holiday and as a way to kickstart my aspirational writing career. After a lot of various last minute changes, not least the ferries going on strike, everything worked out for the better in the end. Overall it was a wonderful experience in the magical island of Amorgos. The scenery was spectacular, the Greek hospitality was exemplary and the food was delicious at Lakki Village. It was like being part of an extended Greek family (even the cats and dogs were welcoming). The course participants were also friendly and i made long lasting friendships there. Most importantly, I was inspired by the classes and wish I could have stayed longer in Amorgos (had to leave on the 26th itself). With encouragement from both, I came out equipped and confident to start writing more and losing the fear in the process. I am hoping to be able to attend more of these retreats next year in Greece :)

What an amazing trip to Amorgos, Greece for the Psychological Thriller Readers Retreat. Hosted by the legendary Authors Jonas Saula and Rania Stone, I was delighted by this little corner of paradise. The hotel resort was lovely in its complete and modern rooms, ground amenities, dining options, the pool area and bar. Lena the bartender was superb. Rania's family owns and runs the resort. So friendly and inviting this family was, I could not ask for more. The resort is located right on the beach. I started my mornings with tea and breakfast and a glorious beach view. It does not get better than that. The retreat schedule of events was just right. Something fascinating to experience each day with plenty of time to explore or chill as you like. Jonas is the perfect host with knowledge, humor, energy enough for everyone. The author guests were accessible and engaging, even those we met via Zoom. It was thrilling to learn about their beginnings, writing styles, publishing and all. AND, oh the giveaways! The retreat swag is top notch. I truly enjoyed this experience and am looking forward to a return trip. I highly recommend this retreat experience.

We did the Reading Retreat in Amorgos June 2024, and it was fabulous!! The island, the venue, the food, the events—everything was perfect! It was so helpful to have Imagine Greece Retreats coordinate all arrangements, and they were readily available to answer questions. If you love reading and want to experience Greece, this is the way to do it!!
